The Kingsport Antique and Rod Club held it's annual Wal-Mart
Cruise-In on Friday night May 26, 2006. This Cruise-In is held once a
year on Memorial Day weekend. There is no entry fee but donations are
accepted to benefit the Ronald McDonald House. Even though the weather
wasn't the best, scattered rain showers throughout the evening,
approximately 300 to 350 vehicles participated in this years Cruise-In
and there were countless spectators present. Wal-Mart furnished a Grand
Prize of a $100 gift certificate and a Ninto Game Cube which were won by
lucky participants. Fifty-Fifty tickets were sold and a lucky winner
received $112. Donations of $1230 were received and Wal-Mart donated
another $1000 for a total award of $2230 to Ronald McDonald House.
